Set in the picturesque village of St. Martin de Belleville, this 240 sqm chalet reimagines alpine living with modern architecture, thoughtful design, and all the comforts of a luxurious family retreat. Spanning four floors, the heart of the home is a striking 50 sqm openplan living space opening onto a balcony with classic west facing mountain views.

Designed and fully project managed by hdesign, this two phase renovation transforms the traditional chalet into a refined and welcoming mountain escape. Phase one focused on the interiors, introducing bespoke joinery, custom furniture, decoration, architectural and lighting design. The result is a sophisticated and cosy retreat. 

Now entering the second phase, we are reimagining the chalet’s exterior and outdoor spaces. 

Given the alpine location, weather conditions, particularly heavy snowfall, present unique design challenges. Our in-house architectural design team has addressed these with thoughtful, functional solutions such as lowered decking to prevent snow buildup against windows, and non-slip materials on features like the Jacuzzi steps to ensure safety in icy conditions.
